Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival 2018
It is with great pleasure that Griffith College Limerick will be taking part in the 8th Lifelong Learning Festival in Limerick. This festival takes place from the 19th–25th of March 2018. Griffith Limerick are delivering three workshops, please see details below:
- ‘Internet Safety Awareness for parents’ by Child Watch – Tuesday March 20th 6.30 – 8.30pm
This workshop on Internet safety is aimed at Educational staff and parents of secondary school students. It uses Teen Safe which is a unique digital education experience based on case studies from research that Child Watch has been involved in.
The material covers the following aspects:
i. Psychology of the Internet
ii. Internet and app's
iii. Searching online
iv. How one appear online - images and text
v. Online harassment
vi. Designing YOU online
- Social Media Marketing for your Business in 2018 – Wednesday March 21st 6.00-7.30pm
Griffith College Limerick are providing a workshop in Digital Marketing. This Lecturers will focus on “An introduction to Social Media Marketing for your Business in 2018 and will be delivered by Specialist Lecturer, Entrepreneur and Freelance marketer, Mr Peter Hunt.
- Introduction to Mobile App Development – Thursday March 22nd 5.30-7.30pm
This workshop focuses on the following areas of Mobile Application Development
i. Introduction to the basics of Java, XML and Android programming
ii. Developing fun ways to program and manipulate smartphones
iii. Walk through the process of development of a working program
iv. And finally upload your working game to run on your smartphone
