AI in Action: Dublin Chamber’s Masterclass at Griffith College
Dublin’s professional community gathered on January 21, 2025, at Griffith College Dublin Main Campus for an informative AI in Action Masterclass, hosted by Dublin Chamber in collaboration with Griffith College Professional Academy. The event featured Greg O’Brien, lead researcher in AI transformation at Griffith College and lecturer of the Professional Diploma in AI for Business.

The landscape of rapidly evolving AI capabilities was highlighted, emphasising its rate of adoption across industries. This was complemented by real-world sector-based case studies, showcasing how AI reshaped work environments, from healthcare and finance to manufacturing.
A key focus of the session was on the AI skills employers were likely to need in 2025, emphasising the importance of upskilling in areas such as sector-specific tools, data analysis, and AI-driven decision-making. Additionally, Greg spoke about the challenges and opportunities AI brought, particularly in relation to energy consumption and chip manufacturing, where the demand for efficient, high-performing technologies continued to rise, were discussed.
A glimpse into the future of AI was provided, exploring the potential innovations and shifts expected as we move further into 2025.
