BITCI Celebrates Student Mentoring Programme With Graduation Event at Griffith College

Last week, Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) celebrated another successful year of its Student Mentoring Programme with a special graduation event at the Griffith College Dublin Main Campus.

The Programme pairs pupils with individual corporate volunteers, giving students the opportunity to connect and communicate with professionals in the working world. This academic year, the Programme saw 23 partnerships between companies and DEIS schools across the country, with 194 pupils in 5th and 6th year benefitting. 

Students gained confidence, communication and social skills through the one-to-one guidance they received from corporate volunteers. They also received advice on CVs, interview techniques and career-focused topics, helping to set them up for success beyond the classroom.

With BITCI celebrating 25 years of championing social inclusion, it is inspiring to see this Programme growing stronger every year, and we are delighted that such a fantastic graduation event took place at our historic campus!
