Former Minister of Finance Michael Noonan Receives Honorary Award

Former Finance Minister Michael Noonan Honored by Griffith College Dublin for Outstanding Public Service and Expert Stewardship

Griffith College, Ireland’s largest private third-level college, will present honorary awards to Michael Noonan, Adam Harris, and Brian Jennings at its graduation ceremonies in Dublin this week.

Michael Noonan, a former finance minister and leader of Fine Gael, received his award in recognition of his outstanding public service and expert stewardship of Ireland’s economy during the very difficult years from 2010 to 2013.

Professor Diarmuid Hegarty, Founder and President of Griffith College, said, "The College is delighted to honour Michael Noonan for his long service as a public representative and Minister of Finance."

He added, "This continues the College’s long tradition of recognising notable individuals who have contributed at both national and international levels.”
