Griffith College, Ireland’s largest private third-level institution, honoured Adam Harris, the CEO and founder of AsIAm, with an honorary award at its graduation ceremonies in Dublin today. Harris was recognised for his significant national contributions to autism awareness and advocacy.

Adam Harris, a leading figure in Ireland’s autism community, founded AsIAm in 2014 to bridge gaps in autism understanding and support across Ireland. His efforts have been pivotal in changing public perceptions of autism, providing essential resources, and advocating for inclusivity. Under his leadership, AsIAm has become a significant voice for autism rights, working to ensure that people with autism are represented in policy-making and supported in communities nationwide.

Professor Diarmuid Hegarty, Founder and President of Griffith College, praised Harris’s work, saying, "The College is delighted to honour Adam Harris as CEO and founder of Ireland's national autism organisation, AsIAm." This honorary award continues Griffith College’s tradition of recognizing individuals who have made impactful contributions nationally and internationally.

The ceremony took place at Griffith College’s South Circular Road campus as part of its November graduation events, which take place on November 5th, 6th, and 7th.
