Griffith College Law EU Club visits EU Parliament in Brussels
Griffith College Law EU Club visits EU Parliament in Brussels.
Griffith College Dublin Law Students recently visited Brussels on a three-day education trip, gaining first-hand experience of European Union Politics.
Organised by the college's Law Faculty, this trip immersed students in the workings of the EU with visits to the Parlamentarium, Hemicycle Chamber, Council of the European Union and the European Commission. Students had the opportunity to hear from representatives of the EU Institutions and attended a debate ‘Towards European Union's enlargement in 2030?’ organized by deBuren, the House of European History and Europahuis Ryckevelde. And there was also a visit the Museum of European History and the Royal Belgian institute of Natural Sciences.
Well done to Precious Abebe, Romina Maddalena and Karen Sutton for organising this trip for our law students and giving them a valuable opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice by helping the students better understand the role of the European Union.
Some of the Students Feedback :
"Thank you for organising and managing this amazing event. It was a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget, I made loads of new friends and got to see a whole other potential career path thanks to this. Although there was a lot of walking with shoes that were very uncomfortable it will still super worth it!"
