Celebrating Success at Griffith College Graduation

Actress and media personality Aoibhín Garrihy received a Leinster School of Music & Drama Fellowship Award at Griffith College Dublin’s annual graduation ceremonies. The award was presented in recognition of Ms Garrihy’s contribution to the Arts, specifically Speech and Drama.

We were delighted to honour the remarkable achievements of our talented learners on our Graduation Day. It is one of the most stand-out days in the calendar year, and the celebration this year was no different.

A highlight of the event was the well-deserved bestowal of an Honourary Fellowship presented to Aoibhín Garrihy, a proud alum of The Leinster School of Music & Drama. Aoibhín's connection with The LSMD runs deep, and her imprint on the world of entertainment and the arts is nothing short of extraordinary. Karen Casey, the LSMD’s Head of Faculty, was delighted to welcome Aoibhín back into Griffith College for her award. It was lovely to see Aoibhín share her love of the Arts, especially speech & drama, with all our colleagues and graduates. We look forward to following Aoibhín’s future endeavours too”.

A beloved figure in Ireland's cultural landscape, Aoibhín is known for her impressive career in acting and performing arts. Her journey began at The LSMD, where she honed her talent and passion for the stage and completed her Associate and Licentiate diplomas with The LSMD. Since then, she has continued to captivate audiences with her talent, charisma, and dedication. In her words, "The LSMD has been a pivotal force in shaping my personal and professional journey. To be acknowledged by the faculty fills me with immense joy and pride."

This award is a testament to Ms. Garrihy's commitment, dedication, and influence as a role model for aspiring artists and a true inspiration to our Graduating class. Griffith College is delighted to acknowledge her remarkable contributions and celebrate her accomplishments with this prestigious accolade. She stands as a true inspiration for all past and present LSMD graduates.
