Griffith College is a founding member of the DIVERSE University Alliance (Digital and Innovative Venture Science Education for Resilient and Sustainable Entrepreneurship), along with 11 other universities from 10 countries.

The DIVERSE University Alliance aspires to become the leading European network of universities, serving as a reference point for venture science: the innovative application of technological advancements to solve significant societal challenges. This involves creating economically sustainable solutions that fulfil genuine societal needs.

This Alliance, a multidisciplinary European university campus with over 150,000 students, was formed in response to the European Commission's call to establish networks of higher education institutions across Europe. Its mission is to facilitate the “transfer of knowledge” between higher education institutions and society, enhancing Europe’s scientific output and converting it into economically viable products, services, processes, and solutions with significant social impact. By doing so, it aims to bolster the European Union's economic prosperity and its citizens' well-being.

In February 2024, the DIVERSE Alliance submitted its proposal under the EU initiative »European Universities« (Erasmus+). After evaluation, the European Commission awarded the proposal the prestigious “Seal of Excellence.” This high-level distinction underscores the outstanding quality of the proposal, marking it as eligible for funding while recognizing the merit of the universities involved. The “Seal of Excellence” can be used by the Consortium and its 12 partner universities in applications for national, European, or extra-European funding programs.
