Griffith College Hosts Successful 2024 Regional Innovation Bootcamp
Griffith College Business & Innovation Hub, in partnership with Furthr Business Innovation Centre, successfully hosted its #RegionalInnovationBootcamp on Thursday, 12th December in the Auditorium at Griffith College, Dublin 8.
The Bootcamp asked participants to create an idea to solve regional issues in Dublin and surrounding areas. The European Union is heavily focused on Regional Innovation, scoring each member state on the Regional Innovation Scoreboard. The finalists had to think of how the idea served Ireland and how it may be financed if they could take it to commercialisation. This Bootcamp, created by the Hub and Furthr was an active collaboration between academia and industry from the outset to create a seamless industry-connected academic experience for all involved. The Bootcamp showcased the remarkable entrepreneurial talent of six finalists, each presenting innovative solutions to regional challenges. The bootcamp was an exciting culmination of creativity, innovation, research, and business strategy, reflecting Griffith College’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and enterprise.

Michael-Philippe Bosonnet, Áine McManus, Suzanne Burdis from Griffith College and Julian Seymour from Furthr presided over the competition, carefully evaluating each team’s presentations to determine the winning innovation for 2024.
Congratulations to Ashil Puthupully Suresh, Vivek Vadakkan Thekke Veedu - MSCIB, who impressed the judges with their ground-breaking idea and exemplary entrepreneurial spirit, earning the title of 2024 Innovation Champions.
This year’s Regional Innovation Bootcamp was an inspiring celebration of ideas, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions, highlighting the extraordinary potential of the next generation of innovators.
