AI and Pharmaceutical Innovation: A New Era for EU Competition Law and Policy

Our second guest speaker was Dr. Mina Hosseini, a researcher, lecturer, lawyer, consultant, and mentor with expertise in health law, competition law, pharmaceutical law, and AI in healthcare. Dr. Mina spoke about the advanced treatments AI is benefiting in the pharmaceutical industry, while some research has raised concerns about leaking sensitive information. While there is a new era forming towards a patient-centred and forward-thinking pharmaceutical sector, competition law enforcement is too slow and not effective enough, Dr. Mina noted from her research presentation.
