Mná8 Illustration Exhibition Opening
Mná8 is an exciting upcoming exhibition, the result of a collaborative project between South Dublin County Council and South Dublin Libraries. This exhibition celebrates the remarkable women from each of the six localities, shining a spotlight on the trailblazers and changemakers who have significantly influenced and enriched local culture. Among those honored are The 3 Pearse Women, Katharine Tynan, and many more.
Eva Kelly, a Lecturer in Illustration, Drawing and Design Processes at Griffith College is leading the project. Speaking about the event, Eva said “After months of drawing, researching, printmaking, talking with historians and many more connected to each location and the wonderful crochet crafters who were all so generous sharing their stories. Mná 8 is opening next week and will tour as a collection after. All welcome to join us and celebrate the legacies of these 8 brilliant Women”.
All are welcome to the exhibition's opening night on Wednesday, the 5th of June, in Tallaght Library from 6:30 pm. This exhibition is Supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport, and Media under the Decade of Centenaries programme.
