The course is validated by Griffith College. This course focuses on the development of professional skills and does not sit on the national framework.
Why Study Leadership Skills at Griffith College?
This Professional Diploma in Leadership Skills short course is available on a part-time basis. It provides an interactive and in-depth exploration of the leadership role within an organisation. It enables students to appreciate what employees expect and want from their leader so that they can practice those skills and behaviours, which ensures that they will achieve results effectively through building successful relationships with their employees. It highlights the skills a leader needs in order to successfully juggle the demands of the team, task and the individual.
During the course, students become aware of their own behavioural style and the impact it may have on their peers, employees, clients and their own managers. They are encouraged to build on their strengths and put together action plans for addressing their areas of development. They explore nature, nurture and how it relates to leadership as they develop their own path to becoming a skilled and effective leader.

Directly to Griffith College Professional Academy
Applicants under 23 years of age:
Minimum 5 O6s/H7s in the Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent award
Or FETAC Level 5 Full Award
Applicants over the age of 23 (Mature students):
Direct entry - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form.
It is recommended that applicants have a good understanding of both written and spoken English.
