Michael-Philippe Bosonnet: Research and Innovation Director
Michael-Philippe is the Research and Innovation Hub Director, responsible for leading the development of the Research and Innovation Hub (GBS Hub) and the overall management of all outputs. His work is focused on growing research and innovation opportunities for Griffith College, promoting students to become researchers and entrepreneurs. Michael-Philippe and the team support the local and national start-up ecosystem in research and innovation, which is vital to Ireland’s growth among EU member states. Michael-Philippe started the hub alone and has grown it to a team of 8 dedicated researchers working on various projects in areas such as entrepreneurship, medical innovation, and artificial intelligence.
The success of the hub is built on an expert team and the collaborative relationships built with European partners and colleagues. Michael-Philippe has an industry background as an entrepreneur, a strategic planner and a consultant in advertising and market research. He founded RADAR Insight, before joining Griffith College on a full-time basis. He holds an MSc in Advertising from TU Dublin, a PGDip in Education Learning and Development from Griffith College, a BA in International Business and Languages from DCU and an Advanced Certificate in Management Practice from Ulster University. He is currently pursuing doctoral study opportunities.
He loves music, is naturally curious about people and is grateful for any opportunity to speak European languages.
Dr. Garrett Ryan: Research Coordinator
Dr. Garrett Ryan brings a wealth of experience to his role as Research Coordinator. With a Doctorate in Training and Education, a Master in Training and Education Leadership, and a Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Garrett's expertise spans multiple domains. Prior to academia, Garrett held leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies, accumulating 18 years of experience in Learning and Development, Talent Management, and Electronic Engineering roles. With a passion for education and innovation, Garrett is dedicated to driving progress and fostering excellence within the team.
Jeanette Kola: Senior Researcher and Lecturer
Jeanette Garcia Kola is a dynamic senior researcher and lecturer at the GBS Hub, specializing in quantitative methodologies and data-driven research approaches. Holding an MSc in Politics and Data Science from University College Dublin, and Masters in International Education from Universidad de Alcala de Henares, and a degree in Political Science from UP Diliman, Jeanette brings expertise in natural language processing (NLP), data wrangling and analysis, and machine learning applications in policy and education research.
Actively involved in EU-funded research projects, Jeanette spearheads initiatives under the SMART4FUTURE project, ensuring support for sustainable entrepreneurs and promoting collaborative, innovative solutions. Dedicated to empowering learners and driving impactful research, Jeanette is committed to making a difference in research and innovation.
Dr Laura Becerra: Senior Researcher
Dr. Laura Becerra is a senior researcher at the GBS Hub at the forefront of a pioneering EU-funded project, a collaborative effort involving 26 partners across 11 countries. Focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and further education, her commitment lies in ensuring that no one is left behind in the ongoing digital transformation. Her expertise extends beyond traditional research boundaries, as she is particularly passionate about developing and strengthening partnerships. Driven by a genuine enthusiasm for fostering collaboration, she excels in creating diverse learning opportunities, ensuring that the knowledge generated from the project is not only cutting-edge but also accessible and impactful.
Laura is a sustainability professional who brings a diverse and valuable set of skills to the GBS Hub, including strategic vision and a collaborative mindset, which contribute significantly to addressing complex challenges at the intersection of social and environmental domains.
When she is not talking about just energy transitions, or EU research, she can be found running after her two rambunctious boys in the Dublin hills.
Dr. Sewali Ghosh: Senior Researcher
Dr. Sewali Ghosh is a senior researcher at GBS Hub. She leverages her bioinformatics, data analysis, and project management expertise to lead research projects, particularly within globally funded initiatives. Her recent Master of Public Health (MPH) from University College Cork underscores her commitment to advancing healthcare solutions.
Dr. Ghosh's leadership extends beyond academia. As Director and Co-founder of Bintegrate Research Solutions, she secured impactful partnerships, launched innovative life science initiatives, and effectively managed finances. During the pandemic, she ensured smooth operations and efficient patient flow at a critical Sky Laboratory testing center.
Her strong academic foundation includes teaching bioinformatics and conducting research at Madras Christian College, where she developed bioinformatics pipelines and analyzed genomic data. Additionally, Dr. Ghosh's industry experience encompasses quality control analysis at Bafna Pharmaceuticals and a role as Senior Research Analyst at Kyvor Genomics, a leading personalized medicine company, where she honed her skills in analysing cancer genomics data.
Dr. Ghosh's proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders aligns well with GBS Hub's mission, particularly its EU-funded projects where her expertise can bridge the gap between bioinformatics and AI for next-generation healthcare solutions.

Opeyemi Akingbohungbe: Junior Researcher
Opeyemi Akingbohungbe, a former class representative, Is delighted to begin her role within the hub. With a profound thirst for knowledge and insight, she brings a background as a business analyst to her current position. Her experience includes fostering collaboration and driving positive change within academic communities, showcasing a dedication to excellence that reflects her commitment to personal and professional growth. Opeyemi embarks on this journey with great excitement, aiming to make meaningful contributions through her innovative approach.
Aanchal Dulani: Junior Researcher
Aanchal Dulani's journey with the team began after volunteering at a GBS Hub event through the student union. With a background in Engineering, Aanchal possesses a flair for innovation through problem-solving, developing procurement plans, and negotiating prices and agreements. Her skill set includes strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a capacity for effective teamwork. Aanchal maintains meticulous organization to ensure timely completion of tasks. Her overarching goal is to achieve significant career growth through continuous learning, remaining dynamic, visionary, and competitive amidst the evolving global landscape, while also contributing to the organization's growth.
Prajwal Shinde - Junior Researcher
Prajwal Shinde is a Junior Researcher at the GBS Hub, currently in his final postgraduate term for the Pharmaceutical Business and Technology course. With a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Prajwal has a strong foundation in the field, further enriched by his participation in national-level elocution and debate competitions, where he showcased exceptional public speaking abilities. His experience as a medical representative has honed his communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team. Prajwal is excited to leverage his skills and experiences to contribute meaningfully to the AI2MED project, aiming to make a positive impact and be an asset to the hub at Griffith College.
