Our people - Declan McDonnell

Declan recently co-founded Anser Procurement, a consultancy offering training and advisory services in the areas of procurement, supply chain and negotiation.

Declan was Head of Procurement in Bord na Mona to 2019 and brought the function to a high maturity level through focusing on areas such as team development, value delivery to stakeholders, supplier relationship management, KPI development and data analytics. The Bord na Mona group spans a wide range of utility products and services, operating in both regulated and non-regulated procurement regimes.

He is a UCC Civil Engineering graduate and holds an MBA from NUIG, an Advanced Diploma in Public Procurement Law from Kings Inns and a Diploma in Corporate Governance from DCU. Declan is also a director of a number of private companies as well as Tullamore Credit Union.
