Biography
Greg O'Brien is an educational technologist with roots in design and the IT sector. He has worked in distance and blended learning since 2001, when he collaborated with Intel Corporation on blended learning projects, both for the Department of Education's award-winning, K12, skoool.ie, and for Intel's global professional development programmes.
Greg spent much of the 2000s devising and delivering digital education for the Digital Hub Development Agency, for clients including; NALA, NCBI, and the National College of Art & Design. He joined the team at Digital Skills Academy in 2010, and remained in this dynamic, educational start-up for seven and a half years. His roles there were as blended programme coordinator, learning designer, and digital content quality manager. He significantly contributed to the growth of the Academy from blended CPD and degree programme provider, to delivering highly successful, and entirely online, post-graduate degrees in Computer Science, Business, Design and Marketing, validated by partners Dublin Institute of Technology, and with hundreds of successful graduates.
Greg works in e-Learning at Griffith College Dublin to provide expertise, capacity, support, and guidance to many faculties, developing the best blended learning experience.
