Our people - Peter Gillis

Peter Gillis is a researcher in Technology Enhanced Learning at the Trinity College Dublin hosted Learnovate Centre. The centre is dedicated to researching applied innovation in education through technology, ranging from schools level to corporate and lifelong learning. Peter has also lectured and supervised on the MSc Technology and Learning course at TCD. Peter is also a qualified designer and has been involved in the multimedia industry since its earliest days. He was managing director of Cosmedia one of the first multimedia design agencies in Ireland. Peter’s research interests include the power of technology to personalise and motivate learners, with a focus on motivation theories. He is currently undertaking a PhD at Trinity College investigating the interaction between learning and motivation and how to leverage insights to improve learning outcomes.
