Business Enterprise Competition 2017
The 29th of March saw the 5th Annual Business Enterprise Competition in Griffith College. The Business Enterprise Competition encourages secondary school students in 4th, 5th and 6th year to develop a business or product idea and use social media to market it. The shortlisted teams would then present their idea to a panel of judges from Griffith College.
This year, we received an outstanding range of products, some of which featured on national media. In total, 17 projects were shortlisted from schools in Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Louth, Laois, Kildare, Meath and Mayo.
Our judging panel consisted of Colman Boyd, a lecturer from the Business Faculty, Alan Lynch, Head of the Graduate Business School and Steven Roberts, Head of Marketing at Griffith College.
ROC Protection won first place with their protective base layer for hurlers. The team behind ROC Protection came from Clonkeen College in Blackrock.
All About Autism came in second place. All About Autism is a book which aims to educate both adults and children on autism.
Headphone Helpers came in third place. Headphone Helpers are a silicon band that keep earphones from falling out completely when walking, running or jogging.
Congratulations to both our winners and everyone involved!
