Griffith College's entrepreneurial almuni
The free event provided students with an insight into studying business at third level. Guest presentations from Griffith alumni, included David Stapleton of Buafit and Denis Cronin of The DinnyCro Show, inspired the students and provided them with insights and advice for setting up and successfully managing their own business.
Generation Entrepreneur experience
Over the five day period, the participants were encouraged and supported to work as part of a team, meeting like-minded, motivated and entrepreneurial peers.
Ideas were honed from the creation stage, where they discovered effective marketing techniques and launched their idea in the Pitch Pit. This involved pitching to a judging panel on the final afternoon, with a range of prizes awarded to the winning teams for their efforts in the following categories:
- The Strongest Idea
- The Strongest Research
- The Strongest Teamwork
- The Strongest Pitch
Looking to the future
Schools Liaison Officer Sinéad O’Callaghan said, “The camp was a massive success, the students were delighted with the new skills they learnt. They were encouraged to continue working together on their pitches in preparation for entering Griffith’s Business Enterprise Competition in 2021.
