Griffith College Hosts CAO Open Day
Griffith College Dublin welcomed close to 300 students to its South Circular Road campus on Friday 22 November for its CAO Open Day.
Students from across Dublin were given the opportunity to speak with lecturers, engage in interactive games such as a VR headset and eat funfair-themed goodies.
Each faculty at Griffith College presented students with an opportunity to engage in conversation with the lecturing staff. Computing produced a virtual reality headset which saw students experience skiing down snowy mountains, soaring through the sky on a jet and more! The Business faculty held its ‘Sell Me This…” contest, while Journalism and Media had a selfie backdrop and Design had a number of portfolios and graduate Naoise Jo Farrell on hand to answer prospective students questions. Our Law faculty had its computers live to play a murder mystery game. While on a campus tour of the grounds, students were shown the TV & Film studio.
It was a funfair-themed day in the auditorium with students treated to an array of games including a giant snakes and ladders, Connect 4, buzzer, Pac Man and Strike a Light. The snacks of the day were freshly popped popcorn, candy floss and slush puppies.
Also on site were Donore Credit Union representatives Dave and Nick, the Student’s Union, Griffith Halls of Residence and the careers office.
