Prof. Diarmuid Hegarty proposed for election to Council of Dublin Chamber of Commerce
President and founder of Griffith College, Professor Diarmuid Hegarty has been proposed for election to the Council of Dublin Chamber of Commerce. In his campaign video (below) Prof. Hegarty outlines some of the educational and employment challenges facing Dublin in the coming years including the growth of artificial intelligence and robotic technology, the impact of recent US tax changes on Brexit, the imbalance of access to education between certain areas of the city, and the need for 50,000 new college places by 2028. Voting takes place between the 5th and 9th February with 17 candidates involved.
