The annual free classes were moved online for 2020.

Griffith College’s annual free Leaving Cert Maths revision went ahead online this year in the face of widespread disruption due to COVID-19. The online delivery allowed for far more students than usual to participate, with close to 2000 Higher Level students tuning into the livestream on Sunday 19 April and over 500 watching the Ordinary Level revision on Thursday 16 April, making it one of the largest online Maths classes ever.

With examinations postponed, Maths students will be able to re-watch the tutorial videos on the college's YouTube channel and access further resources at maths.griffith.ie. Over 4500 students have registered to take advantage of these online resources.

The Schools Liaison Team and Director of Academic Programmes, Dr Tomás Mac Eochagaín, were delighted to bring this revision to LC students at this unsettling time. Tomás has been delivering this workshop in person at Griffith College’s campuses in Cork, Dublin and Limerick over the last number of years. Schools Liaison Officer Sinéad O’Callaghan said of the online event, “The feedback we have received from students has been overwhelming; Griffith College is delighted to offer support at this time.”
