Exploring History and Nature: A Day at St. Anne's Park with our BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture Learners
Our BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture learners recently received a guided tour that blended history, landscape, architecture, and community engagement. The tour of the picturesque Red Stables, which was led by Christina Todd, a Landscape Architect for Dublin City Council Parks and Landscape Services, offered a unique insight into the delicate art of transforming urban spaces into green havens.
In addition to their tour, our learners also had the opportunity to hear from a local archaeologist regarding the community archaeological dig at the former Guinness family's St. Ann's Mansion House site within St. Anne's Park. This really opened our student's minds to the importance of preserving and celebrating our cultural heritage.
It's encounters like these that make education at Griffith College a vibrant and enriching experience, offering students a glimpse into the world beyond textbooks and lectures, and bringing them outside to appreciate what is right on our doorstep!
