Behind the Lens: A Film Workshop
The Faculty of Creative Arts & Screen Media at Griffith College recently hosted Behind the Lens: A Film Workshop as part of Schools Week, welcoming secondary school students to experience the world of filmmaking!
Led by lecturers and industry professionals Arthur Lopez and Alec Moore, the workshop focused on the art of storytelling through the lens. Students participated in hands-on sessions, exploring camera operation, editing techniques, and creative storytelling. The highlight? Each student created their very own one-minute mini-film, showcasing incredible creativity and vision as they brought their ideas to life.
The workshop offered a glimpse into what it’s like to study in the Faculty of Creative Arts & Screen Media, home to innovative programmes in film, TV, and visual storytelling. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and potential of these budding filmmakers—the next generation of creative minds is looking bright!
A huge thank you to Arthur Lopez, Alec Moore, and all the students who joined us—you made the day truly unforgettable!
